The House of Vemanei es un colectivo internacional de artistas queer establecido en el Bronx, Nueva York en 2021. Vemanei tiene como objetivo utilizar las artes para proteger, elevar y enriquecer las vidas de personxs queer de color más profundo que se presentan femeninas y no binarixs en todo el mundo.Sus miembros son parte de una nueva generación de familias elegidas comprometidas a romper los ciclos de daño y complacencia dentro de sus comunidades y en el extranjero. Ahora se unen a un nuevo legado de organización de base internacional, defensa de la igualdad de derechos y ayuda mutua basada en la comunidad.Como entidad dentro de la cultura queer, The House of Vemanei es un participante activo en la comunidad internacional de house ballroom. Vemanei está organizando, patrocinando y participando activamente en bailes en todo el mundo. Los xadres de familia de Vemanei caminan junto a sus hijxs, al tiempo que brindan apoyo en sus esfuerzos más allá de la pasarela.Los puentes hacia la compasión y la alianza sostenible son los esfuerzos que mantienen toda nuestra atención. The House of Vemanei is an international queer artist collective established in the Bronx, New York in 2021. Vemanei aims to utilize the arts to protect, uplift, and enrich the lives of feminine-presenting and gender non-confirming queer people of color worldwide.Its members are part of a new generation of chosen families committed to breaking cycles of harm and complacency within their communities and abroad. They now join a new legacy of international grass-roots organizing, equal rights advocacy, and community-based mutual aid.As an entity within queer culture, The House of Vemanei is an active participant in the international house ballroom community. Vemanei is actively organizing, sponsoring, and participating in balls worldwide.The house parents of Vemanei walk alongside their children, while also providing support in their endeavors beyond the runway. Vemanei is a proud advocate and sponsor of the gender non-conforming Streamline community, actively gathering funds and securing spaces for its participants and families.Bridges toward compassion and sustainable allyship are the endeavors holding our undivided attention. We aim to be judged not by the color of our skin but by the content of our character. Creating cultures of care, rest, and shame-free healing are our top priorities.
